About me
I understand masking from the inside.
For years I suppressed how I naturally think, speak and process the world so that I could fit in. As a neurodivergent, bisexual man, I also learned to edit what I shared, who I mentioned and how I showed up, depending on who was in the room. Both are forms of armour. Both work in the short term, and both are exhausting over the long term.
I’m also a widower and a single father. I know what it is to hold a demanding life together while everything underneath it is being rebuilt, and to stay composed in the room while the ground shifts.
That lived experience shapes how I work with senior professionals over 45 who are holding together a high-stakes career while their personal identity is being restructured. It might be a late-life separation, coming out, or a quieter sense that the ‘acceptable’ version of themselves no longer fits. I don’t need you to explain the performance. I recognise it.
I won’t claim to know your experience of gender, age or the workplace, because I don’t. I know masking, code-switching and the feeling of not quite belonging, and I stay curious and humble about the rest. What you can count on is the depth of my understanding and the results my clients achieve.
My neurodivergence is also a professional strength. I notice patterns, details and inconsistencies that others miss. In a session, that means hearing what you’re not saying, seeing the thread that connects three seemingly unrelated frustrations, and asking the question that changes the conversation.
The Grounded Confidence Method helps you put the armour down without putting your career at risk.
We’ve got your back.
