Disclaimer and Terms of Service
About these termsThese terms apply when you use the Grounded Confidence Method website, submit an inquiry form, or book or take part in any of our services. The services are provided by [Paul P Winbanks] (ABN [number]), based in Victoria, Australia ("GCM", "we", "us").
By booking a service or using the site, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the services. These terms take effect on 3 November 2026.
Nature of the servicesGCM provides executive advisory, coaching and peer-cohort programs for professionals navigating career and identity transitions. Our services are not psychological, psychiatric or medical treatment, therapy or counselling. They are also not legal, financial, tax, investment or employment-law advice.
We may discuss topics such as neurodivergence, sexuality, relationships, grief and identity as they relate to your working life. We do not diagnose or treat any condition. If you need clinical care or professional advice, please see a suitably qualified practitioner.
Decisions about your career, your finances, and whether, when and how you disclose personal information at work are yours alone. We will help you think them through, but we do not make them for you.
If you are in crisis or at risk of harm, call 000 in an emergency, or Lifeline on 13 11 14, any time.
Payment, credits, cancellation and refunds• Payment: The Audit is paid when you book. The Cohort is paid in full before it starts, unless we agree instalments in writing. The Retainer is paid as set out in its written agreement.
• Rescheduling: You may reschedule any session free of charge with at least 48 hours' notice. Later changes and no-shows forfeit that session.
• Audit refunds: Cancel at least 48 hours before your session for a full refund or a new time.
• Cohort refunds: Cancel at least 7 days before the start date for a full refund. After the cohort begins, fees for sessions already delivered are not refundable.
• If we cancel: If we cannot deliver a session or program, we will offer a new time or refund the fee for the undelivered part.
• Your consumer rights: Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded, including the right to services provided with due care and skill.
Confidentiality and cohort conductWhat you share in 1:1 sessions stays between us. We will disclose it only if the law requires it, or if we believe there is a serious risk of harm to you or someone else.
In The Grounded Cohort, every participant agrees to keep other members' identities and stories confidential, and not to record sessions or share their content. We set this expectation and act on breaches, but we cannot guarantee that other participants will honour it, so share at a level you are comfortable with.
We expect respectful conduct. We may remove a participant who breaches confidentiality or behaves in a way that harms others, with a pro-rata refund of any unused 1:1 sessions.
Results, client responsibilities and wellbeingWe do not guarantee any particular outcome, such as a promotion, a role change or a personal result. Outcomes depend on your effort, your circumstances, your employer and the wider market. Client stories on our site reflect individual experiences and are not typical or promised results.
You agree to give us accurate information, attend sessions you book, and take responsibility for your own decisions and actions.
If your wellbeing is affected during our work, tell us. We may pause the work and suggest you speak with a doctor, psychologist or other professional.
Intellectual property, liability and general terms• Intellectual property: The Grounded Confidence Method, its name, frameworks, scorecard, blueprints and materials belong to GCM.
